Reviving the blog.

It's been a while and I don't have many new things to add, for the moment just these two things;

I've been learning to use Blender!

It's a lil' Grunty, I'll also be making a cartoony Elite, a plasma grenade and plasma pistol, for a schools project.

 -------------------------------------

Another extraterrestrial being's head. No name yet for them.../still/. This time I used Fimo instead of Sculpey, so it'll be something solid. The plasticine one is still somewhat alive, just very dusty.

The jaw is removable..I actually want it to be just movable >_<;

Past Sculpey Projects

Gasmask Pikachu

 I have painted it, but I don't like it too much.

Early stage of my friend Perfy's dragon

I burned it a bit..oops.

Painting it.

I didn't find more pictures of it, maybe there's some on my old pc..

September 9th

Yeah, I have NO idea what I'm doing.
I can't figure out how to make it move faster or longer. Made with ultrafractal.

Working on this for animations class.

September 2011

Yesterday I had a technical drawing exam, and I think I did ok..
I've been studying for this and neglecting other things, I did import that Zergling to maya, seen some basic tutorials about rigging but I didn't do anything with it yet. I'm also working on another character made with super sculpey, this time it a Norn from creatures 4 , finished one of those space paintings, which I didn't post anything about on this blog I think (?) and worked on some small tests for stop-motions. I'll add a few pictures now and edit the entry later on.

Also, thanks to Xasthur for the background!

 My new pet, a male mantis religiosa.

I baked this one a while ago, and began painting it.

One of the oil paintings. Actually, it's 4 paintings. The frame is made of polythelene foam, painted with acrylics and then sprayed with metallic paint.

 A small part of the other painting, it's an icy planet but it still has one more or less 'warm' continent. I just finished adding clouds to it, so it's still wet.

The Norn..

It's supposed to be some sort of spacebird..it looks wrong though xD

Try two at the spacebird. Looking more like a bird..

What I've been up to.

I've taken quite a long vacation..didn't do too much at home in July, I went to Belgium, visit family, and then at beginning of August to the sea with friends here in Spain. I spent quite a lot of hours on gaming since then, and played through Starcraft I and II.

Anyway, I'll upload some images here of what I'm making on Zbrush, I got it last week, and it's quite fun! I also have some ideas to make 2.5D 'paintings' with it and 3D sculpts to export, maybe I can learn to animate them (some very simple designs, of course). I also downloaded Apophysis and a free trial of Ultra Fractal, the latter isn't that great honestly, but Apophysis is so much fun to use! I STILL didn't figure out how to render flames and edit them anywhere else, though u_u;

The first two are a first try at using Zspheres, and sculpting with Zspheres, so I didn't know what I was doing, really. The third one is a more worked out 'basic armature' for a character. I didn't sculpt much on it yet..

A 'normal' sculpt in Zbrush. When I can get the eyes looking a bit okay, I'll include a screenshot of them too..

For the swarm!

[EDIT]:Apophysis.

Sudden trip.

I'm leaving this evening to Belgium for the weekend, it's quite sudden. My grandma is in the hospital.

Anyway I don't want to talk about depressing stuff here- I just uploaded 2 more paintings on my dA account but I'm gonna post them here too, tough smaller and cropped.

The symbol that looks a bit like a bug is my uhhh, trademark thingy xD

See the fullsized version on my dA.

EDIT: pics of an alien head sculpt. It's about time I find a name for them..

^ This one's final for now. Notice the eye has detail.
